Hackettstown Historical Society Museum

The Hackettstown Historical Society Museum, founded 1975 and located at 106 Church Street, Hackettstown, has five rooms of local artifact displays, an extensive research library, genealogical files, a gift shop and the Society office. Featured exhibit of reenactor Revolutionary War uniforms and ball gown.

Sunday, November 8: Open House from 10-4, with experienced docents on site to explain the artifacts in each of the display rooms (5) and hall displays (4): Revolutionary War Uniforms and Ball Gown and six Dioramas of Early Native Life in he area; The Children’s Room; Life in the 1880’s; Growth of Hackettstown Business and historic wall maps; Period Clothing and Quilts; and (4) hall displays: Area Memorabilia;The Civil War and Hackettstown; Hometown Heroes; Historic Postcards of Hackettstown. Our usual spread of tasty goodies and beverages will welcome visitors in our Reference Room. Brochures and a printed, self-guided summaries of the museum displays will be available for each visitor.
